Homeowner saves $8500

I had a custom home built in SW Florida.  The home has a septic system which I have never had and knew nothing about. No one told me about the care of a septic system so after about 2 years of cleaning sinks and toilets with large amounts of bleach and comet my septic stopped working.

I had a septic company come out and they told me that the drainfield was completly solid and no liquids could drain through it. It would  cost $8,500 to replace plus the cost of having my lawn resodded. Over the next few months I trIed more then a dozen through the toilet liquids and powders that all promised but didn’t guarantee to open up my drain field. Of course none of them worked.

Then I saw an ad for Oxy-Septic. I figured it was just another product that didn’t work but then I saw the money back guarantee. I called the company and one of the scientists that developed Oxy-Septic spent about 20 minutes talking to me. We agreed that based on my septic system the best way to do it was to dig a hole above the drainfield and cut a small hole in the plastic and add the powder as directed followed by about 15 minutes of adding water through a hose.

I immediately encountered a problem while digging the hole over the drainfield, I hit water about 8 inches down. There was no way I could get to the plastic to cut a hole. I decided to just pour one bottle of powder in the hole. It immediately started bubbling and foaming.
I decided to wait and see what happened. The next morning I checked the hole. I couldn’t believe what I saw.  The water was all gone and I was able to dig down about 10 more inches to the top of the plastic. I cut a small hole in it and saw that it was filled with liquid.
Then I covered it with a piece of screen to prevent dirt from getting in the hole. Over the next 24 hours I checked it often and could actually see the water level going down.

I continued to follow the directions over the next week. By the time I was done there was about 1/2 inch of water left in the plastic drainfield. I left the screen over the hole, filled it up with dirt and marked where it was in case I ever had to get into it again.

Fast forward 3 1/2 years. My toilet flushing began to slow down again so I ordered another box of Oxy-Septic, dug up the hole where I had marked it and put in the product as directed. It worked perfectly again.
Bottom line:   this stuff works!!!
